Including all the appliances we want and/or need in a kitchen can be quite a challenge. Sometimes, we have no choice but to sacrifice storage space; at other times, we have to leave aesthetics aside, especially with those appliances that are not easy to panel, such as the oven and microwave.

But... what if we told you that you could have it? To prove it to you, we've turned to those who know best: the kitchen studios that use our furniture in their projects. Join us as we take a look at these 12 ideas for integrating ovens and microwaves into your kitchen so you don't have to give up anything.

No matter what your style, there is a functional and aesthetic option for you!

    Expocuina Girona

    Column

Installing the oven and microwave in a tall unit is not a passing trend, but an option that is here to stay, and in more and more households. And we are not surprised, as it is synonymous with comfort, and you know how concerned we are about ergonomics at OB Cocinas!

Not only that, but it is a layout with many aesthetic possibilities, as it allows you to combine both appliances, and even with others.

In the project above, from Expocuina Girona, they have opted for what is already a classic: stainless steel appliances in white furniture.

    f.alba

    Green and black

They say that there are colours to suit all tastes. And you only have to look at this project by f.alba to confirm it. Our Vitoria model in green creates a vibrant effect on the wood tones of the floor and the breakfast bar.

To create a visual counterpoint, they have included the oven and microwave next to the fridge in the column; all in black to match the gola profile of the furniture.

    JP KItchen

    Great solutions

Here is a proposal for batch cooking enthusiasts and large families: a 90 cm wide oven in which you can have several preparations ready at the same time.

Our distributor JP KItchen has integrated it into a wall unit with drawers (to store everything you need for the oven) and a two-door opening.

The microwave, on the other hand, is installed in height next to the American refrigerator.

    LG Agencement

    Top and bottom

If you don't have space for a tall unit, here's an idea: place the microwave on the wall units, above the worktop, and the oven on the base units. This way you avoid wasting useful work surface.

This is how well this idea has turned out in this project by LG Agencement.

    Expocuina Girona

Making the most of the island or peninsula

Here's a tip for small kitchens with an island or peninsula: make the most of them to install electrical appliances.

In this Expocuina Girona project we see the same scheme above and below, but making use of the peninsula.

    Ecoook

    Two in one

do you only use the microwave to heat up milk for breakfast? Then go practical! An oven with a microwave function is for you.

This option is not only for kitchens with few square metres, but also for those that have thought about the needs and day-to-day life of the people who live there, as in this example from Ecoook.

    Rivas Sánchez Carpinteros y Antares

    Monocolour

Kitchens in a single colour are very fashionable. If you want to take it to the extreme, you can replicate the ideas of Rivas Sánchez Carpinteros (black kitchen) and Antares (white). In both they have integrated, together and in the same colour, the fridge, oven, microwave and even a small wine cabinet!

    Rivas Sánchez Carpintero

    Following the line

As far as colour is concerned, we can create different visual games, as in this kitchen by Rivas Sánchez Carpinteros. With the furniture completely white, they have installed the oven and microwave in black in a column, following the line generated by the wall cladding between the wall and base units.

    Rivas Sánchez Carpinteros

    Symmetrical

We continue with another example from our distributor Rivas Sánchez Carpinteros, and we love their design solutions!

In this black kitchen they have created a bridge style area in wood finish. On each side of it, the oven and the microwave, creating a very interesting symmetry and also very functional; as both appliances are at a perfect height to be used.

    Sistema Cuina

    Reducing the visual impact

We admit it: we love this Sistema Cuina project. Every time we stop to look at it we find a new detail that we think is great.

This is the case with the incorporation of the oven and microwave, which they have cleverly placed behind the concrete pillar to reduce the visual noise that could be generated when entering this open concept kitchen.

    VMV Arquitectura y Confort Kitchen

    Play of contrasts

However, we can play the opposite game: to create contrasts that generate a striking and vibrant atmosphere. This is the case of this colourful kitchen by VMV Arquitectura and Confort Kitchen. In the column, they could have opted for white electrical appliances. However, they have preferred to follow the design line in which strong and contrasting colours give light and joy to the whole.

    CDC Interiorismo

    In a corner

If you want your oven and microwave to go as unnoticed as possible, here's a good idea from CDC Interiorismo: install them near a corner. If it's next to a piece of furniture that catches the eye, like this breakfast bar, all the better.
